Hon. Henry Kyemba devoted himself to Rotary International and serving the community. He was passionate about supporting causes such as advancing the fight against cancer, polio eradication, education, and the preservation of history.
HISTORIAN SOCIETY OF UGANDA
A beacon of historical preservation, education, and inspiration. Borne out of a desire to honor the memory and legacy of the Late Hon. Henry Kyemba and all those like him who have played various roles in our nation’s history and those who have exemplified a lifetime of service.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
As a Past District Governor and Paul Harris Fellow in Rotary International, Hon. Henry Kyemba dedicated a signifcant amount of time and resource towards serving the community through delivering much needed support in areas of education, health care, water and sanitation among others. Through the Foundation, we hope to continue his legacy of supporting these causes that he was so passionate about.
MENTORSHIP
With his wealth of knowledge about Uganda’s history, Hon. Kyemba was always excited and willing to share his experiences and first-hand accounts of the various significant events in Uganda’s history. He loved engaging with young people, historians and the media who very often consulted him. There are many more like him and we are creating a platform in which they can continue to engage with and mentor young people, and share their knowledge with them.
