Welcome to the Historian Society of Uganda.
A beacon of historical preservation, education, and inspiration. Borne out of a desire to honor the memory and legacy of the Late Hon. Henry Kyemba and all those like him who have played various roles in our nation’s history and those who have exemplified a lifetime of service.
Our primary goals include:
Honoring Legacies: We are committed to celebrating and perpetuating the remarkable contributions of the Late Hon. Henry Kyemba and others like him, ensuring that their legacy of service continues to inspire and guide us.
Annual Historical Celebrations: Each year, we organize the Historical Society of Uganda gala event, a grand occasion dedicated to celebrating the rich and diverse history of Uganda and acknowledging the individuals who have played pivotal roles in shaping our nation.
Knowledge Sharing and Posterity: We create platforms for dialogues with senior citizens, encouraging the passing down of valuable information and fostering a continuous exchange of knowledge across generations.
Mentorship Programs: Our society provides mentorship opportunities for young historians and writers, allowing them to learn from seasoned professionals and nurturing the next generation of historical scholars and authors.
Support for Research and Publications: We actively support the research and writing of key historical works and publications, contributing to the wealth of documented knowledge about Uganda's history.
Join us in our mission to preserve, celebrate, and share Uganda's rich historical heritage. Together, we can ensure that the stories of our past continue to enlighten and inspire future generations.
